VI Group Attends the 2026 Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce Lantern Festival Gala
On 27 February 2026, during the Lantern Festival, VI Group CEO Chris was invited to attend the 2026 Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce Lantern Festival Gala held at The Star Brisbane. Centred around the theme “Gathering in Brisbane – A Grand Celebration for the Jiangsu Community”, the event brought together around 400 Jiangsu community members and representatives from the business and political sectors from across Australia to celebrate this traditional Chinese festival.

The First Gathering of the Jiangsu Community Across Australia
This gala marked the first large-scale national gathering of the Jiangsu community in Australia. The evening featured festive lion and dragon dances, elegant Kunqu performances, and a song-and-dance presentation of Jasmine Flower, creating a strong sense of hometown warmth and nostalgia that made many attendees feel as though they had returned to the waterways and charm of Jiangnan.
With the theme of “Reunion and Integration”, the gala also offered lucky draw prizes valued at a total of AUD 80,000. Well-known Australian winery Ballandean Estate was presented as a special guest, and its wines became one of the highlights of the evening. The President of the Jiangsu Chamber remarked:
“When we pair a Jiangsu reunion banquet with premium Australian wine, what we achieve is not only a fusion of flavours, but also a mutual appreciation between Chinese and Australian cultures.”
