VI Group Participates in AusIMM 2025 International Women’s Day Event in Brisbane

On 27 February 2025, the VI Group team attended the International Women’s Day 2025 Brisbane event hosted by AusIMM (The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy). As the first event in this year’s International Women’s Day series, the luncheon-style gathering brought together professionals from mining, engineering, consulting, and other industries for dialogue and exchange.

The theme of the event was “Driving Positive Change Together.” The program featured a keynote address by Sam Bloom, a world champion adaptive surfer whose story gained global recognition through the bestselling book and film Penguin Bloom. Sam shared her personal journey following a life-changing event, reflecting on the psychological adjustments she faced, the challenges she overcame, and how she gradually rebuilt her life and professional rhythm.

At the Brisbane event, the VI Group team engaged with attendees from diverse professional backgrounds, exchanging insights on their respective work experiences and industry perspectives, while also learning from the views and experiences of participants across different sectors. The event served not only as a platform for celebration and shared stories, but also as an opportunity to experience firsthand the value of diversity within the broader industry community.
Looking ahead, VI Group will continue to support and participate in similar initiatives, engaging with industry peers and remaining committed to fostering dialogue and amplifying diverse voices across the sectors in which we operate.
